HISTORY OF ROCKING S RANCH
The Rocking S
Ranch had its true beginning in the river bottom town of Mankato in Southern
Minnesota. Growing up in the 1940's and 50's Sarah and Steve Ulman learned to
love the outdoors and the animals that live there. After a few years in Iowa,
Wyoming and California, the Ulmans moved to Northern Maine and were soon back
outdoors at K-U Farms growing grains, potatoes, angus, and horses. After
helping K-U Farms grow to 2,250 acres of land, 450 heads of angus, and 50+
horses, the Ulmans retired to The Rocking S Ranch, Inc. where they board about
25 horses plus another 10 head of "for sale" horses.
